Prominent Panadura businessman abducted by unknown group

A well-known businessman operating in Panadura has allegedly been kidnapped by an unidentified group of individuals while traveling home along a side road connecting to Mahanama Road in Panadura.

Preliminary reports indicate that a vehicle intercepted the victim's path before several armed or masked individuals forced him into another car and sped away from the location.

Panadura South Police and specialized investigative units were dispatched immediately after family members alerted authorities upon discovering the abandoned vehicle and missing businessman.

Police checkpoints have been erected across key road corridors in the Kalutara district and CCTV footage along Mahanama Road is currently being scrutinized to determine the direction in which the abductors fled.
