Sri Lankan Architect Viluckshi Ravindran Appointed Deputy Chair of ARCASIA Young Architects Committee

Sri Lankan architect Viluckshi Ravindran, representing the Sri Lanka Institute of Architects (SLIA), has been designated as Deputy Chair of the Architects Regional Council Asia (ARCASIA) Committee on Young Architects for the 2027 term.

The appointment marks an international recognition for Ravindran and Sri Lanka’s architectural profession, placing a representative from SLIA in a leadership position within a regional platform focused on young architects.

ARCASIA is a regional organisation comprising 22 national institutes of architects across Asia, bringing together professional bodies to promote cooperation, knowledge exchange and the advancement of architecture across the region.

As Deputy Chair of the Committee on Young Architects, Ravindran will be part of a regional platform representing the interests and professional development of young architects across ARCASIA member countries.

The appointment also highlights the growing participation of Sri Lankan architects in regional professional organisations and provides an opportunity to contribute to discussions and initiatives shaping the future of architecture in Asia.
