Expressways Earn Over Rs. 120 Million In Two Days

More than Rs. 124 million has been generated from Sri Lanka’s expressways over the past two days.
The Ministry of Transport and Highways said the long weekend holiday led to a significant increase in the number of people using expressways for travel.
A total of 325,316 vehicles used the expressway during the two-day period.
The Southern Expressway recorded the highest traffic volume and generated approximately Rs. 76.7 million in revenue.
Meanwhile, the Colombo–Katunayake Expressway generated around Rs. 34.8 million, while the Central Expressway earned approximately Rs. 12.9 million.
The figures reflect the heavy use of the expressway network during the long weekend.
