The Body Shop responds to overwhelming customer feedback and reintroduces Spa of the WorldTM, an elevated collection rooted in beauty traditions from around the globe

In a world where the pursuit of wellbeing often feels like another item on the ever-growing to-do list, finding a simple routine that still feels elevated and indulgent is all the more daunting.

With this is mind, The Body Shop is reintroducing its beloved Spa of the WorldTM collection – a customer favourite born from the brand’s exploration of the globe in search of the most treasured ancient beauty practices, cherished for their precious effects on skin. Inspired by global cultures, the collection is designed to transport you to calm and tranquillity from the comfort of your own bathroom. Each product is infused with naturally inspired ingredients and boasts refined textures and delicate fragrances to take the body and mind on a sensory journey.

The result? A perfect balance of simplicity and sophistication of spa-quality products for the everyday self-care routine.

Recent global data reveals that while searches for self-care have risen 413% in the past 20 years1, 2 in 3 global consumers agree there is too much conflicting information on how to be healthy2 – whether physical, mental, or social. Despite interest in bettering wellbeing, the pressure and ambiguity in the approach turns the practice into yet another source of stress.

The Spa of the WorldTM collection offers an exquisite escape, transforming everyday routines into indulgences. Each product is meticulously formulated with globally inspired ingredients, made to provide a sensory journey to unwind and reconnect with oneself. From the calming fragrance of the Japanese Camellia Cream to the softening benefits of the Brazilian Cupuaçu, the range provides a luxurious yet accessible pathway to inner harmony.

The Spa of the WorldTM collection is an invitation to pause, breathe, and experience the transformative power of simple, sensorial, and intentional self-care. Wellbeing isn’t a destination, but a journey – and it doesn’t have to be complicated.

Key products of the relaunched Spa of the WorldTM collection include:

Hawaiian Kukui Body Cream – Kukui (candlenut) oil has been used by Native Hawaiians for centuries. Traditionally used to moisturize and protect the skin and hair, kukui oil was also used to soothe drying effects of the weather, making it a staple in Hawaiian skincare. It’s rich in essential fatty acids, which help nourish and maintain the skin’s natural moisture barrier.

Japanese Camellia Body Cream – Known in Japan as Tsubaki oil, camellia oil has a long history in traditional Japanese beauty. Geishas and samurais alike used camellia oil to condition and shine their hair, and it was a key part of skin and nail care. The cream has a lightweight texture and is ideal for leaving skin feeling soft and supple.

Brazilian Cupuaçu Body Scrub-In-Oil – Harvested from the tropical cupuaçu tree, a relative of cacao, this butter has been used by Indigenous Amazonian communities for generations. Known for its deep hydration, cupuaçu butter is used to soften and protect skin against the drying effects of tropical heat and sun, it also holds water well, making it ideal for restoring elasticity and comfort to dry skin.

Tahitian Tiaré Body Wash – The Tiaré flower (Tahitian gardenia) is the national flower of French Polynesia and a cultural icon. Often worn behind the ear or in leis, it is also infused into coconut oil to create Monoi. Symbolizing love and purity, it plays a vital role in traditional ceremonies and beauty practices.

Bulgarian Peony Body Wash – Peonies are celebrated in Bulgaria, particularly in the Valley of Roses, where the climate and soil are ideal for floral cultivation. Though more widely known for its ornamental beauty, peony extract has been valued in European herbal traditions for its soothing, brightening, and antioxidant properties. In Bulgarian culture, floral harvests like rose and peony are a deep part of seasonal beauty traditions and celebrations.

Polynesian Monoi Radiance Oil – Monoi oil is a centuries-old Polynesian beauty staple made by infusing coconut oil with Tiare flowers (Tahitian gardenia). Used as a full-body moisturizer and hair treatment, Monoi oil is applied during sacred moments and daily life, leaving a luxurious floral scent.

*French Grape Seed Body Scrub – Derived from the by-product of winemaking, grape seed powder is a sustainable beauty ingredient. Celebrated for its antioxidant power, grape seed is believed to protect and firm the skin. In France, it’s also linked to “vinotherapy” – spa treatments using wine-based ingredients for pampering the skin. *Available from Q4 2025.
