· Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka batter Harshitha Samarawickrama has been nominated for the ICC Women’s Player of the Month award for July 2026, following a series of impressive performances that helped Sri Lanka secure a memorable ODI series victory over Pakistan.
Harshitha was instrumental in Sri Lanka’s 2–1 ODI series triumph, producing outstanding contributions with the bat during the three-match series. She scored a century in the second ODI and followed it with an unbeaten 71 in the decisive third match, helping Sri Lanka chase down Pakistan’s target comfortably.
Her consistency and ability to deliver under pressure earned her the Player of the Series award and further strengthened her reputation as one of Sri Lanka’s leading women’s batters.
Harshitha is shortlisted alongside England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt and West Indies captain Hayley Matthews for the July award. The final winner will be determined through the ICC’s voting process involving the ICC Voting Academy and fans.
The nomination marks another significant achievement for Harshitha, who has already been recognised by the ICC for her outstanding performances earlier in her international career.
Sri Lankan cricket fans will now have the opportunity to rally behind Harshitha as she competes for another major individual honour on the international stage.
