Damith Premathilake Wins Gold at ARCASIA Awards 2026

Sri Lankan architect Damith Premathilake has won a Gold Award at the Architects Regional Council Asia (ARCASIA) Awards 2026 for his design of KAYA – Holiday Retreat in Diyathalawa.

The award recognises the architectural design of the holiday retreat, highlighting the project among notable works presented at the regional awards programme.

KAYA – Holiday Retreat, located in the central highlands of Sri Lanka, reflects a contemporary approach to creating a destination that responds to its natural surroundings.

Premathilake’s Gold Award adds another international recognition for Sri Lankan architectural design, placing the Diyathalawa project among the distinguished entries recognised at the ARCASIA Awards 2026.
