Sri Lanka Launches National Public Service Dialogue Forum to Resolve Workplace Disputes

The National Public Service Dialogue Forum, an alternative mechanism for resolving disputes within the public service, was officially launched on Wednesday, October 21, 2026.

The initiative was jointly introduced by the Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government and the International Labour Organization (ILO) Country Office in Sri Lanka.

The launch ceremony was held under the patronage of Minister of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government, Chandana Abeyratne.

The forum aims to provide an alternative mechanism for addressing and resolving disputes within Sri Lanka's public service through dialogue and discussion.
