Sampath Bank Reports Strong 17% Growth in Operating Income

Sampath Bank has reported a strong financial performance for the six months ended June 30, 2026, recording a Total Operating Income of Rs. 63.3 billion, marking a 17% increase compared to the corresponding period last year.

The growth was supported by sustained performance across the bank’s core revenue streams, reflecting continued momentum in its banking operations during the first half of the year.

Net Interest Income increased by 11%, while Net Fee and Commission Income recorded a significant 26% growth during the period.

The results highlight Sampath Bank’s continued focus on strengthening its core business while expanding its income-generating activities.

The strong performance during the first six months of 2026 positions the bank on a positive footing as it moves into the second half of the financial year.
