RUNOVA ’26 Brings Colombo Together for a 5KM Run with a Purpose
· Sri Lanka
Colombo is set to come together for RUNOVA ’26, a 5KM charity run that aims to turn every step into a meaningful gesture of support for children receiving care at Lady Ridgeway Hospital.
Organised by the AICPA & CIMA Students’ Society, RUNOVA ’26 goes beyond the traditional race experience by giving every participant a child’s wish to carry on their race bib throughout the run.
The initiative is designed to create a personal connection between each runner and a child, allowing participants to carry a wish with them as they make their way through the 5KM route.
With the theme “One runner. One wish. One purpose,” the event aims to demonstrate how a simple run can become an opportunity to support a greater cause and bring attention to the hopes and wishes of children receiving medical care.
The 5KM run will take place at Independence Square in Colombo on September 27, 2026.
Registration is priced at LKR 2,500, with participants invited to register through RUNOVA.LK.
RUNOVA ’26 encourages runners, families and members of the community to come together for an experience where every kilometre carries a message of hope and every participant runs with a purpose beyond the finish line.
One runner. One wish. One purpose.
