NOLIMIT Introduces RFID Self-Checkout, Marking First For Sri Lankan Fashion Retail

NOLIMIT has introduced RFID technology and RFID-enabled self-checkout at its Level 02 store at One Galle Face Mall, marking a first for Sri Lanka’s fashion retail industry.

The technology, developed in-house by NOLIMIT, allows multiple products to be identified simultaneously, unlike conventional checkout systems that require items to be scanned individually. This enables customers purchasing multiple items to complete the checkout process more quickly and conveniently.

RFID technology is also being used to improve product visibility within the store. It can help staff locate specific products, sizes and colours more efficiently, allowing them to respond faster to customer requests.

As part of its expanding technology ecosystem, NOLIMIT is also exploring AI-powered assistance to create a more responsive and intelligent retail environment.

The combination of RFID self-checkout and AI marks a significant development in the local fashion retail sector, bringing technology-driven shopping features increasingly used in global retail markets to Sri Lankan consumers.
