Loku Patty's brother succumbs to injuries following shooting

The younger brother of organised crime figure 'Loku Patty' succumbed to his injuries after being shot in the Welikanda area of Ahungalla on Thursday. The victim had been targeted by unidentified gunmen and sustained severe life-threatening injuries.

Emergency responders transported him to the hospital immediately following the attack, where medical personnel attempted emergency treatment, but he subsequently died from the gunshot wounds.

Police and specialized investigative teams have cordoned off the scene to collect ballistic and forensic evidence, suspecting the attack to be part of ongoing retaliatory conflicts between rival criminal syndicates operating along the southern coast.
