Kurnool hospital performs liver, kidney transplants

Gowri Gopal Hospital has successfully performed liver and kidney transplant surgeries, in Kurnool city. According to an official release by the hospital management, these two complex surgeries were completed successfully through a joint effort between Gowri Gopal Hospital and TX Hospitals, with the cooperation of Jeevandan Andhra Pradesh.

The hospital management said that on August 30, 2026, a liver transplant surgery was successfully performed on a 67-year-old patient and a kidney transplant surgery was performed on a 26-year-old patient. These complex organ transplant surgeries were accomplished through the coordination of state-of-the-art medical facilities and an expert medical team. The hospital further stated that both patients are currently in good health and are undergoing treatment under medical supervision.
