· Australia
A homicide investigation is underway after a man was found dead with an apparent injury inside a unit south of Brisbane. Emergency services were called to the North Rd unit at Woodridge to conduct a welfare check about 7.15am on Tuesday for a welfare check. Officers found the body of a man, believed to be aged in his 60s, inside the property. Logan District Detective Inspector Ian Galpin said the man had an “obvious injury”, prompting officers to establish a crime scene. Police are now treating the death as a homicide. Galpin said the welfare check was requested by someone known to the man. Investigators are appealing for anyone who was in the North Rd area between 4pm on Monday and 8am on Tuesday and saw anything suspicious to come forward.
