DJ Snake to Headline Senter Music Festival at Port City Colombo
· Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka is preparing to welcome internationally renowned DJ Snake for the Senter Music Festival at Port City Colombo on October 31, in an event expected to attract overseas visitors and support the country’s growing event-based tourism industry.
The festival is being positioned as a major milestone for Sri Lanka’s entertainment scene, bringing together international performers, regional DJs and emerging local talent.
Speaking ahead of the event, DJ Mass described DJ Snake as the biggest DJ to perform in Sri Lanka to date, inviting music fans to welcome the international star and be part of what he expects to be a landmark occasion for the local entertainment industry.
Attracting International Audiences
The festival has already generated interest beyond Sri Lanka, with music fans from India, the Maldives, Pakistan and Bangladesh having purchased tickets, according to DJ Mass.
He said the event presents an opportunity to bring international audiences to the country, building on the long-held ambition of taking Sri Lankan entertainment to the global stage.
While the vision of the industry has often been to take Sri Lankan talent to the world, DJ Mass believes the festival demonstrates the potential of bringing the world to Sri Lanka through internationally recognised performers and major music events.
He also expressed hope that DJ Snake’s appearance could create opportunities for further international performances in the country, potentially paving the way for artists such as David Guetta and Justin Bieber.
Supporting the Wider Entertainment Industry
Beyond the headline performance, DJ Mass emphasised the festival’s wider economic and professional significance, noting that large-scale events create opportunities for the many people working behind the scenes.
From cleaners and engineers to production crews, technical teams, cameramen and reporters, he said the event would support a broad network of professionals whose contributions are essential to the entertainment industry.
The festival will feature a diverse line-up of local and international performers, including emerging Sri Lankan artists and regional DJs from Singapore, Malaysia, the Maldives and India.
A Major Night at Port City
DJ Snake is scheduled to headline the festival on October 31, with Port City Colombo set to host the gathering of music fans from Sri Lanka and overseas.
The Maharaja Media Network has joined the event as its strategic partner, while Sirasa, YES FM and Y FM will support the festival through their respective media platforms.
With an international headliner, regional participation and an anticipated overseas audience, Senter Music Festival is expected to highlight Sri Lanka’s potential to develop large-scale entertainment events as another attraction for international visitors.
