CEAT Named Sri Lanka’s Most Valuable and Strongest Tyre Brand in Brand Finance 2026 Ranking

CEAT has strengthened its position in Sri Lanka’s automotive sector after being ranked the country’s Most Valuable Tyre Brand, Strongest Tyre Brand and the 11th Strongest Brand overall in the 2026 edition of Brand Finance’s Sri Lanka 100.

According to the latest report by Brand Finance, the world’s leading brand valuation consultancy, CEAT’s brand value increased to Rs. 2.544 billion as at January 1, 2026, up from Rs. 2.325 billion in 2025. The brand also moved up one place to 43rd among Sri Lanka’s 100 most valuable brands.

CEAT recorded a Brand Strength Index (BSI) score of 80.3 out of 100, confirming its position as the strongest tyre brand in Sri Lanka. Its AAA- Brand Strength Rating, classified as “Extremely Strong”, remained unchanged from the previous year.

Brand Finance noted CEAT’s strong performance across key brand drivers, with the company recording its highest scores for Consideration and Reputation, while maintaining resilience amid a challenging operating environment.

CEAT’s global brand strength was also recognised, with the company ranked as the fourth strongest tyre brand worldwide, recording a global BSI score of 84.9.

Commenting on the recognition, CEAT Kelani Holdings Managing Director Ravi Dadlani said the achievement reflected the company’s continued engagement with consumers and its consistent focus on quality, market responsiveness and relevance.

CEAT currently sells more than 1.6 million tyres annually and leads Sri Lanka’s domestic market across several categories. The brand also maintains a presence in more than 110 countries, including major markets in Europe and the United States.

The company’s Sri Lankan manufacturing operations produce tyres for passenger cars, vans, SUVs, commercial vehicles, motorcycles, three-wheelers and agricultural vehicles. CEAT Kelani Holdings meets around half of Sri Lanka’s automotive tyre demand and exports approximately 20% of its production to 16 countries.

Over the past decade, the company has invested more than Rs. 8.5 billion in Sri Lanka and recently committed a further Rs. 4.5 billion, reinforcing its contribution to the country’s manufacturing and automotive sectors.

The latest recognition follows CEAT Kelani Holdings being named Best Tyre Manufacturer at the inaugural Automobile Industry Awards presented by the Automobile Industry Council of Sri Lanka earlier this year.

The Brand Finance ranking further highlights CEAT’s growing brand strength and its continued role as a major player in Sri Lanka’s automotive and transport sector.
