Law enforcement authorities confirmed that 859 suspects were taken into custody within a 24-hour window during comprehensive island-wide raids conducted under the 'A Nation United' (Ratama Ekata) initiative.

The extensive police operations involved targeted searches, vehicle checkpoints, and intelligence-led raids across multiple provinces, focusing heavily on drug trafficking networks and individuals wanted on pending arrest warrants.

Police Headquarters stated that substantial quantities of narcotics, contraband, and illegal firearms were seized during the operations, adding that suspects will be produced before their respective Magistrate's Courts as investigations proceed.
