24-Year-Old Killed in Galle Clash; Two Suspects Arrested

A 24-year-old man has died following a clash between two groups in the Galwala area within the Galle Police Division, police said.

According to police, the victim sustained injuries after being attacked with a sharp weapon during the confrontation on August 28. He was admitted to the Galle Hospital, where he later died.

Two other individuals injured in the clash have also been admitted to the Galle Hospital for treatment.

Preliminary investigations have revealed that the confrontation had escalated following a dispute linked to a previous personal feud between the two groups.

Police have arrested two suspects, aged 19 and 29, residents of the Walawwatta area, in connection with the incident.
