Yazu at the Beach Brings ‘Coast to City’ Pop-Up Dining Experience to Colombo

Galle’s popular beachfront dining destination, Yazu at the Beach, is set to bring its signature Pan-Asian culinary experience to Colombo with an exclusive one-night pop-up event. Titled “Coast to City,” the collaboration will take place on July 25, 2026, at Canapé Bistro, the rooftop dining venue located at Sesaya in Rajagiriya.

Running from 6.00 p.m. to 11.30 p.m., the event will combine Yazu’s bold and diverse Pan-Asian flavours with the relaxed, open-air ambience of Canapé Bistro. Perched above the city, the venue is known for its skyline views, golden-hour setting, and thoughtfully curated global cuisine, making it an ideal setting for the collaboration.

Yazu at the Beach, situated at the Radisson Blu Resort in Galle, is the first international outpost of India’s renowned Yazu brand. Its menu blends Japanese precision, Thai vibrance, and Cantonese depth, offering a diverse selection of sushi, dim sum, wok dishes, grills, and Asian-inspired beverages.

For the Colombo pop-up, guests can look forward to a specially curated menu featuring dishes such as turnip cake, truffle edamame and cream cheese dumplings, sriracha chicken dumplings, prawn hargow, pork gyoza, and chicken bao. Sushi lovers can indulge in crispy avocado and cucumber rolls and prawn tempura rolls, while mains include prime beef skewers, spicy kimchi fried rice, and Thai green curry served with jasmine rice. The experience concludes with Yazu’s signature dessert, the Matilda Cake Pull Me Up.

Complementing the menu is a selection of signature Yazu cocktails, including Osamu, Barely Innocent, and Democrat, alongside refreshing mocktails such as Mock Penzi, Heat Check, and Summer Cooler.

Canapé Bistro is part of Sesaya, Sri Lanka’s first “poshtel,” which blends contemporary design, affordability, and a sense of community within a modern hospitality concept.
