Woman, Three Children Missing at Sea in Pamunugama

A 35-year-old woman and three children have gone missing after being swept away while bathing in the sea off Epamulla in Pamunugama, police said.

The incident occurred on the evening of Aug. 30 while a group of people were bathing in the sea.

The missing children are two girls aged 4 and 12 and a 13-year-old boy. All four missing persons are residents of the Ja-Ela area.

Pamunugama Police have launched a search operation with the assistance of the Sri Lanka Navy to locate the missing persons.
