Victoria’s Spring Surprise: A Million Tulips Bloom This Weekend
· Australia
The festival runs from September 12 to October 11, with more than one million spring flowers on display, including almost one million tulips.
Visitors can enjoy colorful flower gardens, live entertainment, food stalls, market stalls, family activities and the popular Tulip Tractor ride.
This opening weekend also has a Turkish cultural theme, featuring Turkish music, dance, food and cultural demonstrations.
The festival is located at Tesselaar Flower Farm in Silvan, around 40 kilometers east of Melbourne and within about an hour’s drive from the city.
However, organizers say unusually warm and wet growing conditions have reduced the size of this year’s tulip display, with ticket prices cut by 30 per cent as a result.
The festival is open daily from 10am to 5pm, making it a major spring weekend attraction for families across Melbourne and Victoria.
