Urgent rescue underway after teenage boy falls from cliff near Gordons Bay in Sydney’s east

An urgent rescue operation is underway after a teenage boy plunged from a cliff in Sydney’s east. Witnesses reported the teen fell from the cliff near Major St in Coogee, near Gordons Bay, about 1pm on Friday. NSW Ambulance said the boy suffered possible back injuries, as well as scratches and abrasions. A helicopter has been called in to winch the boy to safety before he is airlifted to hospital.
