Union Assurance Fuels the Upcoming Colombo Marathon 2026 with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports

Union Assurance, Sri Lanka’s longest-standing private Life Insurer, has come on board as Main Sponsor of the Colombo Marathon 2026, partnering with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and the National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka. The collaboration was formally announced at the marathon’s official launch on August 4 at City of Dreams Sri Lanka, bringing together a shared vision for sport, health and national pride.

Held under the theme “Steps for Peace and Humanity,” Colombo Marathon 2026 is set to take place on September 13 and marks a significant step towards establishing Colombo as Sri Lanka’s premier international city marathon. The event will welcome over 4,000 local and international runners, offering something for every level of fitness across five categories. These include the Full Marathon, Half Marathon, 10km, 5km Fun Run and a Mini Run for children.
