Two UAE women honoured for bringing food, cold drinks to workers in summer heat

UAE's Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has honoured two women for their simple act of kindness that brought relief and joy to workers during the summer heat.

The women provided workers with food and cold refreshments in a thoughtful gesture of support and appreciation for those working outdoors through the hot summer months.

Their initiative was recognised by Dalal Alshehhi, Assistant Undersecretary for Labour Protection at the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (Mohre), who honoured the women in recognition of their contribution.

The gesture was praised as an example of the UAE's longstanding culture of giving, compassion and solidarity.

The women's initiative demonstrated how small acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

"I made a small gesture towards the workers, a simple act of kindness, and honestly, seeing how happy they were, and how much joy it brought them, made me want to do more. We should always leave a positive impact so that people remember us for the good we do," said one of the honorees in a video put out by Mohre.

"This is a humanitarian act, you don't expect anything in return. It's all for the sake of Allah and by His grace," said the other honoree.

The women said they were delighted and grateful to be honoured by the ministry for their act of kindness.

The UAE has always emphasised on values of tolerance, respect, generosity and social responsibility as key elements of its society.

The recognition by Mohre highlights the importance of community participation in supporting workers and promoting a culture in which kindness and appreciation extend beyond the workplace.
