SriLankan Engineering Signs Long-Term Line Maintenance Agreement with Jetstar

SriLankan Engineering has signed a long-term Line Maintenance Agreement with Jetstar, part of the Qantas Group, to provide line maintenance services for the airline’s flights operating to Colombo.

Under the agreement, SriLankan Engineering will support Jetstar’s Boeing 787 operations at Bandaranaike International Airport, providing technical and maintenance services to support the airline’s operations in Sri Lanka.

The agreement represents another step in SriLankan Engineering’s efforts to expand its international maintenance partnerships and deliver safe, reliable and high-quality aircraft maintenance services to global airline operators.

A key milestone linked to the partnership is SriLankan Engineering’s planned acquisition of Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) Part 145 approval from Australia. Once obtained, the approval is expected to enable SriLankan Engineering to provide full certification services for Jetstar flights operating to Sri Lanka.

The partnership is also expected to strengthen cooperation between SriLankan Engineering, Jetstar and the wider Qantas Group, while supporting Jetstar’s continued Boeing 787 operations to Colombo.
