Sri Lankan Ticketing Platform TicketsMinistry Expands into UAE Market
· United Arab Emirates
Sri Lankan online ticketing platform TicketsMinistry has officially launched operations in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), marking a major milestone in the international expansion of Sri Lankan-built technology.
Developed by Tickets M (Pvt) Ltd, TicketsMinistry has already sold more than 500,000 tickets across over 1,000 events in Sri Lanka and works with more than 600 event partners.
The platform provides event organisers with a complete digital ticketing solution, allowing them to sell tickets online, manage event entry and monitor ticket sales in real time.
With its launch in the UAE, TicketsMinistry will provide organisers of concerts, cultural shows, sporting events and community gatherings with access to its digital ticketing platform.
The expansion is also expected to create new opportunities for the UAE's large Sri Lankan community, making it easier for audiences to discover and purchase tickets for Sri Lankan concerts, cultural programmes and other community events.
“This is a proud moment for Sri Lankan innovation. Our platform was built by Sri Lankan talent, and it is now competing in one of the world's most dynamic event markets,” said Bhanuka Weerasinghe, Director of TicketsMinistry.
“The UAE is the first step in our plan to grow TicketsMinistry into a global ticketing brand,” he added.
The company said the UAE launch forms part of its broader international expansion strategy, with plans to enter additional overseas markets in the future.
The move positions TicketsMinistry as a growing Sri Lankan technology platform seeking to take its digital event-ticketing capabilities beyond the domestic market and into international destinations.
