Sri Lankan Consulate in Jeddah issues safety advisory

The Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Jeddah has issued a special safety advisory for Sri Lankan citizens residing and working in the western region of Saudi Arabia, citing emerging developments and security considerations across the wider area.

In its formal statement, the consular mission advised Sri Lankan expatriates to remain alert, maintain regular contact with family members and community leaders, and refrain from traveling to sensitive or crowded zones unless strictly essential.

The mission has established round-the-clock emergency hotlines to offer immediate consular assistance and guidance, urging all Sri Lankan expatriates in the region to follow official notifications issued by local Saudi authorities.
