Sandeepa Sewmini Wins Best in National Costume at Miss Asia Pacific International 2026

Sri Lanka’s Sandeepa Sewmini Don Samarasinghe Disanayake has won the National Costume Competition at Miss Asia Pacific International 2026, held on Sunday, September 27, at the Mactan Shrine in the Philippines.

The Philippines’ Gabrielle Galapia was named first runner-up, while Cambodia’s Ry Srey Neth placed second runner-up.

A total of 38 candidates took part in the competition, showcasing their respective countries’ history, heritage and culture through their national costumes.

Sandeepa Sewmini’s victory brings international recognition to Sri Lanka’s cultural heritage and marks a notable achievement for the country at Miss Asia Pacific International 2026.
