Sri Lanka Participates in 61st Asia-Pacific Civil Aviation Directors General Conference

Sri Lanka is participating in the 61st Conference of Directors General of Civil Aviation, Asia and Pacific Region (DGCA/61), currently being held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The conference has brought together more than 500 participants from 35 countries across the Asia-Pacific region under the theme “Smart Skies: Emerging Technologies for Safe, Secure, Sustainable and Efficient Aviation.”

Sri Lanka is represented by Captain Daminda Rambukwella, Director General of Civil Aviation and Chief Executive Officer of the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka (CAASL).

DGCA/61 provides a platform for aviation authorities and senior officials to discuss key developments, emerging priorities and best practices in civil aviation.

The conference is also examining the opportunities and challenges presented by emerging aviation technologies, particularly their role in enhancing aviation safety, security, sustainability and operational efficiency.

Sri Lanka’s participation further strengthens its engagement with the regional aviation community and promotes cooperation with other Asia-Pacific countries on matters related to the development of civil aviation.
