Sri Lanka Digital Day 2026 to Focus on Turning Digital Strategy into Business Action

The Federation of Information Technology Industry Sri Lanka (FITIS) will host Sri Lanka Digital Day 2026 on 6 November in Colombo, bringing together policymakers, technology leaders, corporate decision-makers and entrepreneurs to discuss the country’s digital transformation.

The event, organised by the FITIS Digital Services Chapter, will be held concurrently with INFOTEL 2026, FITIS’s flagship ICT exhibition scheduled from 6 to 8 November.

Sri Lanka Digital Day 2026 will focus on connecting national digital policy with practical technology adoption by businesses, with discussions centred on improving productivity, competitiveness and opportunities through digital transformation.

The morning sessions will focus on national digital strategy, SME growth and the banking and financial ecosystem. Speeches and a panel discussion will examine issues related to banking, finance and regulation while considering business priorities within Sri Lanka’s broader digital development agenda.

The afternoon programme will focus on practical digital adoption for SMEs, entrepreneurs and industry practitioners. It will feature digital transformation case studies, business-focused sessions and a panel discussion on corporate IT leadership and strategies for adopting new technologies.

FITIS Digital Services Chapter President N. Udayakumar said Sri Lanka Digital Day was intended to bring different stakeholders in the digital ecosystem into a single conversation.

“As Sri Lanka continues to build its digital economy, we need stronger collaboration between these stakeholders to translate technology into practical value, productivity and new opportunities,” Udayakumar said.

FITIS Chairman Dr Dayan Rajapakse said the digital economy was no longer a separate segment of business or industry, but increasingly influenced how organisations operate, compete and create value.

“Through Sri Lanka Digital Day, FITIS aims to create a platform where ideas, expertise and industry experience can come together to support Sri Lanka’s broader digital transformation and strengthen our position in an increasingly technology-driven global economy,” Rajapakse said.

FITIS said the event aims to make digital transformation more relevant to organisations of all sizes by connecting national priorities with practical business experience.
