Sri Lanka Climbs FIFA World Rankings Following Victory Over Seychelles

Sri Lanka’s national football team has moved up one place in the FIFA World Rankings following its recent victory over Seychelles.

Sri Lanka, which was ranked 187th before the match, has risen to 186th after recording a 3–0 victory over Seychelles on September 27. The result earned the team 4.31 ranking points, taking its total to 881.17 points.

The latest movement marks another step in Sri Lanka’s international football campaign, with results in upcoming matches continuing to influence the team’s FIFA ranking.

FIFA currently lists the live ranking as unofficial pending approval of international ‘A’ matches, with the next official ranking update scheduled for October 7, 2026.
