Sri Lanka Army Conducts Flood Rescue Training Exercise

Sri Lanka Army troops have participated in a training exercise focused on rescuing civilians during flood situations, strengthening their preparedness to respond to emergencies and natural disasters.
The exercise was conducted near the Kumbukkan Oya Anicut, with the participation of troops from the 121 Infantry Brigade.
The training focused on practical rescue and emergency response procedures that may be required when communities are affected by rising water levels and flooding.

Such exercises help enhance the readiness, coordination and response capabilities of Army personnel, enabling them to provide timely assistance to civilians during natural disasters and other emergency situations.
