Sri Lanka AI Week 2026 Conference and Exhibition Continues Under Prime Minister’s Patronage

The second day of Sri Lanka AI Week 2026, organised by the Ministry of Digital Economy and SLT-MOBITEL, commenced at the Monarch Imperial Hotel in Colombo, with the participation of Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya.

The Prime Minister attended the opening ceremony of the second day of the AI Conference and Exhibition.

Deputy Minister of Digital Economy Eng. Eranga Weeraratne, Deputy Minister Chathuranga Abeysinghe, SLT Group Chairman Dr. Mothilal de Silva, and several other distinguished guests were also present.

Sri Lanka AI Week 2026, held under the theme “AI Amplified,” is being pioneered by the Ministry of Digital Economy and SLT-MOBITEL. The initiative aims to establish a leading national platform that brings together global AI leaders and accelerates the adoption, innovation and investment of artificial intelligence in Sri Lanka.

The AI Conference and National AI Expo are being held on September 29 and 30 at Monarch Imperial in Colombo, as part of the wider Sri Lanka AI Week programme.
