Sri Lanka Cricket Begins Distribution of Cricket Balls to 900 Schools for U13 Tournament

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association (SLSCA), has commenced the distribution of cricket balls to nearly 900 schools participating in the Under-13 School Cricket Tournament 2026.

The inaugural distribution programme was recently held at the Duncan White Auditorium of the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs.

As part of the initial distribution, cricket balls were provided to 81 schools competing in Division I and 84 schools in Division II.

Nearly 300 participants, including school principals, representatives, coaches, teachers in charge of sports and other officials, attended the programme representing schools participating in the Under-13 Division I and Division II tournaments.

The initiative reflects SLC’s continued support for school cricket and its efforts to provide young players with the resources needed to develop their skills and compete at school level.
