Sri Lanka's 'SL Lions' team wins the NECA 2026 Division D Championship in Boston

The SL Lions Cricket Club achieved a magnificent victory in the 2026 Division D cricket tournament organized by the New England Cricket Association (NECA) in the United States. The SL Lions were the only Sri Lankan team competing in this tournament, which took place in Boston.

Advancing through the tournament with unwavering effort and a series of consecutive wins, the SL Lions players put up a spirited fight against a formidable Indian team in the decisive final match held in Boston.

As the scores were tied at the end of the allotted overs, a 'Super Over' was required to determine the winner. Demonstrating exceptional skill with both bat and ball, the Sri Lankan Lions defeated the Indian team to clinch the 2026 Division D Championship.
