SJB Calls for Participation in Protest Against 22nd Amendment

Mahesh Senanayake called on everyone to participate in tomorrow’s protest against the 22nd Amendment.

“We must express our opposition in order to protect democracy in the country.

The government has not done anything for the people of this country. The government has not taken action to bring even a single dollar into the country.

An open invitation has been extended to participate in the protest on the 24th. We also invite other opposition parties to join the protest.

The government is taking various measures against the Samagi Jana Balawegaya. Members of the United National Party will also join this protest.

The doors are open to good people in politics.”

He further stated that the Samagi Jana Balawegaya would not take steps to challenge the decision of the judiciary, but would continue its opposition to the 22nd Amendment.

“All those affected by the Easter Sunday attacks must receive justice.

There is an attempt to claim that everyone connected to the Easter Sunday attacks is from the Samagi Jana Balawegaya. The public must understand the distortion being created by the government.

The government is creating false narratives in an attempt to make people forget the problems facing the country.”
