Sri Lankan Students Shine at International Mathematics Olympiad in Mongolia

Two students from Sivali Central College have brought recognition to Sri Lanka with impressive performances at the International Mathematics Olympiad held in Mongolia.

Thevindu Dharmadasa, competing in Category II, won a Bronze Medal in the Individual Contest and secured second place in the Puzzle Challenge Prize.

In Category III, Theekshana Bandulage earned a Merit Award in the Individual Contest and helped secure second place in the Team Contest, winning a Silver Medal.

The achievements highlight the students’ dedication, mathematical talent and commitment to excellence on an international stage.

Their success has brought pride to Sivali Central College and Sri Lanka, while providing further inspiration for young students interested in mathematics and academic competition.
