Shukri Salman Honoured with Youth Ecosystem Builder Award

Sri Lankan entrepreneur, educator and youth development activist Shukri Salman has been honoured with the prestigious Youth Ecosystem Builder Award at the 7th Youth Top 40 New Generation Awards 2026, held at the Shangri-La Hotel in Colombo.
Organised by New Generation Sri Lanka, the youth arm of Women in Management (WIM) Global, the awards recognise young leaders who have demonstrated a strong commitment to empowering and inspiring the next generation of Sri Lanka.
Shukri Salman, widely recognised for his work as a “Youth Ecosystem Builder,” has guided thousands of students in ACCA, CIMA and Advanced Business Studies. He has also previously been honoured with the Asia’s Young Achiever Award for his contributions to education and youth development.
Beyond education, Shukri has played an active role in strengthening connections between the education and business sectors. Through initiatives and institutions including Accelerate Holdings, Hyve (Pvt) Ltd and StartX, he has helped launch programmes such as the Teen Business Summit and Coffee with CEO, creating opportunities for young people to gain exposure to entrepreneurship, leadership and the corporate world.
The Youth Ecosystem Builder Award recognises Shukri’s continued efforts to strengthen Sri Lanka’s youth ecosystem by creating equal opportunities, encouraging innovation and helping young people connect with education, business and leadership opportunities.
His recognition at the Youth Top 40 New Generation Awards 2026 highlights the growing importance of initiatives that invest in young Sri Lankans and equip them to become the leaders and changemakers of the future.
