Shukri Salman Expands A/L Classes from 25 Students to More Than 1,000

Sri Lankan educator and entrepreneur Shukri Salman has expanded his A/L classes from just 25 students to more than 1,000 within three years, marking a significant milestone in his education journey.

With more than nine years of experience in education, Salman has taught over 5,000 ACCA and CIMA students before expanding into Advanced Level education.

His A/L classes have produced more than 100 A grades in each of the past two batches, including the highest number of English-medium Business Studies A grades in Sri Lanka at the 2025 G.C.E. Advanced Level examination.

Beyond the classroom, Salman has also focused on creating opportunities for young people through entrepreneurship and professional development. His Teen Business Summit brought together around 1,000 young people at Temple Trees for entrepreneurship, networking and real-world business exposure.

Initiatives such as Coffee with CEO and StartX have further contributed to his recognition as a Youth Ecosystem Builder.

Through HYVE and its wider platforms, Salman is now working to expand access to entrepreneurship, mentorship and professional development opportunities across South Asia.
