Sampath Bank and KOKO Launch Credit Facility to Support Merchant Business Growth

Sampath Bank PLC and KOKO have partnered to introduce the KOKO Merchants Credit Facility, creating a more convenient pathway to business financing for eligible merchants within KOKO’s growing ecosystem. The initiative extends KOKO’s role beyond payments and customer financing by connecting merchants with Sampath Bank’s financing capabilities, helping them access funding to purchase and replenish inventory, manage working capital and cash flow, respond to seasonal demand and invest in business expansion.

The facility is designed around a streamlined assessment process that can leverage relevant information from a merchant’s existing relationship and transaction activities with KOKO, helping reduce the time and effort involved in navigating traditional financing processes.

The partnership reflects a shared commitment to supporting Sri Lankan businesses by combining KOKO’s digital merchant ecosystem with Sampath Bank’s established financial services expertise.
