Sadali Costa Makes History as First Sri Lankan-American Female Eagle Scout

Seventeen-year-old Sadali Costa has made Sri Lanka proud by achieving a historic milestone, becoming the first Sri Lankan-American female to earn the prestigious Eagle Scout rank, the highest honour awarded by Scouting America.

The remarkable achievement places Sadali among a select group of young leaders, as only around 4% of Scouts successfully attain the Eagle Scout rank after completing years of dedication, leadership development, community service, and skill-building activities.

Born to Sri Lankan parents who migrated to the United States in 2007, Sadali has carried her heritage with pride while pursuing excellence through scouting. Her journey reflects commitment, perseverance, and a passion for making a positive impact in her community.
