Royal College Athletes Shine as Royalists Represent Sri Lanka at Asian Age Group Aquatic Championship

Royal College Colombo has proudly recognised the achievements of its students and officials who represented Sri Lanka at the 12th Asian Age Group Aquatic Championship, showcasing their talent and dedication on an international platform.

The prestigious championship saw several Royalists competing across multiple aquatic disciplines, including swimming, diving, and water polo, highlighting the school’s strong contribution to Sri Lankan aquatic sports.

Representing Sri Lanka in swimming, Sulaiman Shihar proudly carried the Royal College flag on the international stage. In diving, Ruel Wickramaratne showcased his skills among Asia’s emerging talents.

The water polo team featured four Royalists — Lithum Karunasena, Ramiru Aluthge, Abdul Kareem, and Ammar Salim — who earned the honour of competing at this major regional championship.

Adding further distinction to the representation, Royal College officials also contributed their expertise to the event. Yasodha Wasalage served as the Water Polo Coach, while Chanaka Wickramasinghe took on the role of Diving Coach and Akindu Samaraweera contributed as a Diving Judge.

The school extended its heartfelt congratulations to all the athletes and officials for their commitment, discipline, and achievement in representing Sri Lanka. Their participation reflects the continued excellence of Royalists in sports and their dedication to bringing pride to both the nation and their alma mater.
