People’s Bank Wins Women-Friendly Workplace Recognition for Sixth Consecutive Year

People’s Bank has once again been recognised as one of Sri Lanka’s outstanding women-friendly workplaces at the Satynmag Women Friendly Workplace Awards 2026, held recently at The Grand Maitland in Colombo.

The achievement marks the sixth consecutive year that People’s Bank has received the recognition, reaffirming its commitment to gender equality, diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

With women accounting for more than 60% of its workforce, the Bank continues to promote gender inclusion through leadership development, mentorship opportunities and initiatives aimed at creating a safe and supportive working environment.

The recognition further highlights People’s Bank’s efforts to foster an inclusive and equitable corporate culture while empowering women employees across different areas of banking.

Since its inception in 2021, the Satynmag Women Friendly Workplace Awards have recognised organisations demonstrating strong commitments to gender equality and women’s empowerment, providing a platform to celebrate progressive and inclusive workplace practices.
