Over 250 Japanese tourists and investors arrive in Sri Lanka

More than 250 Japanese tourists and investors have arrived in Sri Lanka for the first time, seeking to renew the longstanding friendship between Japan and Sri Lanka.

The group arrived at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) yesterday (30) at around 4.30 p.m. onboard SriLankan Airlines flight UL 455 from Narita, Japan.

A large group, including Deputy Minister of Ports and Civil Aviation Janith Ruwan Kodithuwakku, Ministry Secretary W.W.S. Mangala, and Civil Aviation Authority Director General Captain Daminda Rambukwella, was present at the airport to welcome the visitors.

The Japanese tourists and investors are scheduled to conclude their visit to Sri Lanka and depart the country on September 04, 2026.
