Nene Royal Makes History as First Thai Winner of America’s Got Talent 2026

History Made! Nene Royal has won America’s Got Talent 2026, becoming the first contestant from Thailand to claim the competition’s coveted title.

The 16-year-old singer and guitarist from Phuket, whose real name is Rattikan “Praew” Amloy, was crowned the winner of Season 21 after receiving the most votes from the American public.

Nene began her AGT journey with a powerful rendition of The Cranberries’ Zombie, earning four “yes” votes from the judges. She went on to perform Muse’s Hysteria during the Judges’ Callbacks before delivering Soundgarden’s Black Hole Sun in the live quarter-finals.

Her performance impressed the judges, with Mel B using the Live Golden Buzzer to send the young Thai performer directly to the final.

For her final competitive performance, Nene took on The White Stripes’ Seven Nation Army, earning a standing ovation from the judges and strong support from the audience.

Her victory earns her the Season 21 title and the show’s US$1 million grand prize, while making her the first Thai performer to win America’s Got Talent.

Nene began playing guitar at the age of seven. Nine years later, the young musician from Phuket has reached the top of one of the world’s biggest televised talent competitions.
