National Savings Bank Holds “Paata Paata Hapan Kam 2026” Children’s Art Exhibition

An exhibition featuring paintings selected for the final round of the “Paata Paata Hapan Kam 2026” Open Art Competition, organised by the National Savings Bank (NSB) to mark World Children’s Day, is being held from October 1 to 3.
The public can visit the exhibition from 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. at the entrance hall of the National Savings Bank’s Head Office premises.
The competition was conducted in four categories according to school grades, with the paintings selected for the final round being displayed at the exhibition.
The four categories are:
Category 1: Grades 1–3
Category 2: Grades 4–6
Category 3: Grades 7–9
Category 4: Grades 10–13
The competition provides children of different age groups with an opportunity to showcase their creativity and artistic skills.
The awards ceremony for the winners of the competition is scheduled to be held on October 3 at the National Savings Bank’s Head Office premises.
The opening of the exhibition was attended by Rohana Bandara Weerakoon, Acting General Manager / Chief Executive Officer of the National Savings Bank, along with members of the senior management and the judges of the competition — B. Sarath Gunasiri Perera, Senior Lecturer at the University of Visual and Performing Arts; P. K. Isuru Suren; and Lecturer M. D. Ishan Upamal Gunathilaka.
Identifying children’s creative abilities and providing them with opportunities to develop those talents is one of the key objectives of the National Savings Bank. Through the “Paata Paata Hapan Kam” art competition and exhibition, children are given an opportunity to present their creations and have their talents recognised and appreciated.
Alongside encouraging children to save for their future, the National Savings Bank remains committed to supporting the development of their artistic talents.
