Miss Poland Beauty Contestants Arrive in Sri Lanka for International Promotional Stage
· Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka welcomed contestants of Poland’s prestigious national beauty pageant, Miss Polski (Miss Poland), yesterday as the competition makes history by hosting one of its international stages in the island nation for the very first time.
A delegation comprising 45 members, including 24 contestants competing for the coveted Miss Poland title, arrived in Sri Lanka for a 10-day promotional and cultural tour that will showcase some of the country's most iconic destinations.
Organized in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB), the initiative is aimed at promoting Sri Lanka as a premier travel destination to the Polish market and a wider international audience. The visit is expected to generate significant global exposure through media coverage, promotional content, and social media engagement associated with the renowned beauty pageant.
During their stay, the contestants and production team will travel across several of Sri Lanka’s most celebrated tourist attractions, including Sigiriya, Pasikuda, Nilaveli, Minneriya National Park, Dambulla, Knuckles/Neela Valley, and Colombo.
The Sri Lankan stage of the competition will be primarily based in Sigiriya, where contestants will participate in special promotional events, photo shoots, and cultural activities designed to highlight the country’s rich heritage and breathtaking landscapes.
Additional promotional campaigns and content creation activities will take place at various locations across the island, providing contestants with opportunities to experience Sri Lanka’s unique blend of history, nature, wildlife, and hospitality.
Each destination has been carefully selected to showcase different facets of Sri Lanka’s tourism offering. From the ancient rock fortress of Sigiriya and the cultural treasures of Dambulla to the pristine beaches of Pasikuda and Nilaveli, as well as the wildlife-rich landscapes of Minneriya National Park and the scenic beauty of the Knuckles mountain range, the program aims to present Sri Lanka’s diverse attractions to a global audience.
Tourism authorities believe that hosting an internationally recognized event such as Miss Poland will strengthen Sri Lanka’s visibility in key European markets and encourage more international travelers to explore the island.
The visit marks another significant step in Sri Lanka’s ongoing efforts to position itself as a leading tourism destination, leveraging international events and partnerships to enhance the country’s global appeal.
