Melwa Group Strengthens Operations with Launch of Melwa Cement

The Melwa Group of Companies is further strengthening its business operations with the launch of Melwa Cement.

Melwa Cement is a 100% Sri Lankan-owned company belonging to the Melwa Group.

The company has established a modern cement blending and packaging manufacturing facility in the Seeduwa area, operating with modern technology and efficient operational processes.

During a media briefing held to announce the initiative, it was explained that the establishment of the factory would bring a number of benefits to people in the surrounding area.

The new facility is expected to create direct and indirect employment opportunities, as well as business opportunities and opportunities in transportation services for people in the area.

Melwa Cement has also introduced several types of cement to meet the diverse requirements of Sri Lanka’s construction industry.

Representatives of the Melwa Group, including Malith Kannangara, Head of Marketing, participated in the event.
