Letter Submitted to United Nations Office Opposing the 22nd Amendment

A letter was submitted to the United Nations office today regarding what its organisers described as the government’s attempt to forcefully pass the proposed 22nd Amendment.

The letter was submitted by Bodhidhamma Ananda and the International Human Rights Collective.

The organisers said that the United Nations should investigate the matter and take appropriate action regarding what they described as constitutional amendments being pushed through by force.

President of the International Human Rights Organisation, Ven. Ratnapura Bodhinanda Thera, also expressed his views on the matter.
