HUTCH Sri Lanka has launched ‘IgnitX by HUTCH 2026’, a national innovation challenge aimed at young innovators studying at universities across Sri Lanka.

The programme provides university students with an opportunity to develop and present innovative digital solutions aimed at improving customer service experiences.

The initiative is designed to encourage young technology innovators to use digital innovation to develop practical solutions to enhance customer experiences.

Six teams were selected to compete in the final round of the competition, which was held at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) in Colombo.

During the final, the six teams presented their prototypes before a panel comprising HUTCH technology experts and professionals from the industry.

The event was attended by HUTCH Sri Lanka Chief Executive Officer Saumitra Gupta, along with representatives from participating universities and other officials.

The initiative forms part of HUTCH Sri Lanka’s efforts to provide university students with a platform to showcase their technological creativity and develop innovative solutions for real-world customer service challenges.
