Geopolitical Cartographer Hosts Public Lecture on Geopolitics and Future of Indian Ocean

A public lecture organised by the Geopolitical Cartographer, featuring former Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe and former Singaporean Foreign Minister George Yeo, was held at the Taj Samudra Hotel in Colombo.

The event focused on the theme “Geopolitics and the Future of the Indian Ocean.”

The programme included a lecture by former President Ranil Wickremesinghe, while former Singaporean Foreign Minister George Yeo also delivered a public lecture on the subject.

A panel discussion was also organised as part of the event.

Former Speaker Karu Jayasuriya, former Foreign Minister G. L. Peiris, Western Province Governor Hanif Yusoof, former Foreign Minister Ali Sabry, and a number of foreign delegates also attended the event.

The Geopolitical Cartographer is a research foundation focused on geopolitical, geoeconomic, climate and maritime developments extending from the Himalayas to the Indian Ocean and the wider Indo-Pacific region.
